Recently I started recording that I had learned English every day. In the spreadsheet that I use for recording, there are three topics, Duo, Orai, and Diary (this blog!). I set a rule that I should select two items at least for a day.
It's not going well. Sometimes I forgot to do that, sometimes I was lazy and skipped. But gradually, I would improve the progress as I see the spreadsheet every day.
At one time, I noticed that there is a gap between reading and writing. I know some English words. I can read, pronounce, and understand them. But on the other hand, I can't write, use, and utilize the phrases in oral communication or an article. I have this gap, and I want to make it small.
How can I do that? That is the reason why I set Duo, Orai, and Diary as daily practices. Duo supports me in increasing vocabulary. Orai provides me a lot of opportunities to speak English, Diary as well. (You're reading it now.)
As a Japanese proverb says "continuing is a power.", I have to continue this routine even if it's poor English. Hopefully, reading a lot, writing a lot, and speaking a lot will bring more accomplished skill to me.
